SKELETON BRIDGE
This old bridge used to be used to cart coal from the nearby Griffin Mine to the Grain Distillery. The grain Distillery was built to convert grain into alcohol to fuel industry during the second world war but was never used. In the last few years it's been used to make char briquettes for fire heating in Asia. The bridge is a local fishing spot. It creates problem for me when I'm canoeing at night as it's one of the few things on the river that is hard to spot in the dark and there is only a fairly narrow gap to get though without colliding with something. I canoe in the dark because in winter it's the only time I can train after work.
If you look closely at the right hand picture you'll see that that the burnt off pylon in the middle of the picture has a small tree growing out of it. The tree has been there for the last few years that I know off.
