EASTER FJORD

This fjord is the first possible crossing available across the Collie river upstream of the Wellington dam. It's only available during summer months when the water is low. Only mountain bikers and walkers can cross it.

How to find it:

On your way to Collie, about 500 metres after passing through Allinson, there is a gravel road that goes off to your right. This is also where the Bibbulman track crosses the Colliefields highway. Take the right hand road. Follow the road for 1.3 km. At the end of the farm there is a small track on your right. Follow this for about 50 metres which takes you to the river. if the water is low enough you will be able to walk across the rocks to the other side. Once across, head north west for 150 metres and you will come to a small track, follow it west and after another 100 metres you will come across a major road which is Palmer road. Follow the Palmer road north west and it will take you to the Black Diamond bridge turn off (80 metres) go right and after 20 metres you'll see the bridge in front of you.
